"celebrity" sighting
Last night while walking up Market Street I saw Anthony Williams
from Project Runway season 7 walking around with a little entourage. It's fun to see a celebrity even if its just in passing.

Shoe love
I'm drooling over these shoes! They are the Aldo Withey platform pump. I'm going to see if the Aldo store in SF is carrying these next week so I can try them on.

Fall Fever
I am in love with all things cape, fur, shearling, and large collared for fall. Even though I don't really appreciate cold weather, I do love the layering opportunities that fall and winter offer our wardrobes. I love when I get to whip out my scarves, jackets, gloves, faux fur, and my cape I got as a gift last year from my friend Ruby. Here is a picture of it. I am with my Gramps (great grandpa in the photo).

Angry
I was doing some online browsing and came upon this cardigan that I really like from Forever 21 but I cannot get over how this model looks. She looks so pissed off. Someone needs to give her a giant milkshake and a trip to Disneyland

Of starbucks cigarettes and first days
So, today was my first day back to school after a wonderful 3 weeks of vacation. I had to be in S.F. by about 8:15 am so I woke up at 5 am, which is no freaking walk in the park, especially given the fact that I did not wake up before 10:30 a.m. almost all of vacation. I of course diligently lugged my tired self out of my warm and comfy bed and eventually dragged myself bleary eyed onto BART. Disclaimer: now I am going to complain about BART. A few weeks ago there was a short news feature on abc about the noise on bart. Now, if any of you are familiar with bart (which I know some of you are) you will understand this next sentiment quite well: the sound of the bart train is akin to nails being scratched along a chalkboard [for 50 freaking minutes] or blood curdling screams from an infant who needs a diaper change, food, and a nap! My complaints about bart compelled me to write the terrible following poem:
Loathe to BART
I wonder how I tolerate your blood thinning epithets each morning,
how I manage to fall asleep to your first soprano squeals
that accompany your fart scented perfume
Weirdos seem to cling to you like flies on sticky paper
and here I sit...hoping that tomorrow I sprout wings
Ok I am done complaining about bart (for today that is)
Now I will move on to talking about ridiculous Starbucks packaging. Today I had the privilege of wandering over to the Starbucks on Market St. with my friend Kris. Whilst waiting for my decaf soy pumpkin spice latte I took a gander at their chalk board. Now, Starbucks is doing this new instant coffee that comes in individual sized packages. This is the packaging:

A cigarette, right?! Really Starbucks? Could you not package this any different? Way to make your product look that much less appealing to consumers who do not appreciate smoking...I mean come on! This is coffee! I mean, I know it is addicting and that smoking is also addicting but really now? I am disgusted. The end.
Oh and at a later date I will provide more information about my current class load for this quarter. But just to wet your appetite these are my courses:
Technology for Buying: teacher has a super dry sense of humor. I feel like I am in an episode of Seinfeld
Applied Trend Forecasting: same teacher as last quarter. Love that class!
Merchandise Strategies: teacher is very classy. She looks like Julie Andrews circa Princes Diaries.
Monday I have my remaining classes which are: Applied Merchandise Buying and Textile Science.

Fun friends
I just had to share this image of my fabulously fun friends at Target. They found the very amusing dollar section and as you can see, were quite amused with the hand puppets. Love you ladies!
